Hotel Brack was a great place to stay. Our room was newly renovated, including the bathroom, and everything was clean, airy and bright. The manager and her staff were extremely helpful, providing info. re: easy access around Munich on the subway (station directly in front of hotel), sites and local restaurants. Breakfast was bountiful with scrambled eggs, fresh fruits, juice, yoghurt, bread/roll assortment, cheeses, coldcuts, etc. served by an efficient staff in the breakfast room. Some of the previous/older reviews I had read online, almost led me to change to a different hotel, but that would have been a mistake. We were very happy at Hotel Brack and would highly recommend it to others.

Good:

Close to the center. Subway is in front of hotel. You can decide at 8:50 to go to cinema and be there at 8:58.

The Owner himself serves Breakfast till 12. They serve everything you want, if they don't have it, they buy it!

Family run hotel. Staff is highly motivated and flexible.

Clean!


Bad:

Lindwurmstr. is noisy. If you can't stand it, ask for a backyard room, they are quiet.

Rooms are not big. Bathrooms are small. Furniture and carpets are dark. TV-set is small.

As the lobby is smoker area, stairwell smells smoky.

Spartan, old room with no ammenities. Basically clean. Had to leave because of the overwhelming smell of smoke. I was given a room on a non-
smoking floor but the entire place was like one big ashtray. Unfortunate.

Here it is, short and to the point:

Hotel Brack was a real find; it is in a superb location, with the U (underground) just outside the front door. A fare of one or two euro takes you directly into the beautiful old centre of Munich close to the Hofbräuhaus. Also, the Beer Festival takes place only a few hundred metres away from the hotel.

The staff are extraodinarly friendly and the breakfast super. "I'll be back".
