It was my 30th birthday and myself and my sister who organised the trip booked this hotel. It was so central. The staff, especially the door man was very helpful. Rooms were lovely and clean, breakfast was lovely. We were locked out of our hotel room one day, and we were heading out to an excursion, the head maid came straight away and was able to open our room. Very close to the Railway station where we went on excursions every day. Went to Dachau and Neuschwanstein Castle. The bar in the evening was very quiet, but we still enjoyed our stay.We stayed March 2011 and if we were returning to Munich, I would definitely stay here.

This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel. (The first time was in 2008.) The hotel's interior appears to have undergone a remodel, and it has really spruced up the hotel. The beds are comfortable, and every room has been nice and quite. My most recent room even had a tub which was a big plus. The hotel breakfast is one of the best I have had in Europe. The front desk and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is a block from the main train station and a S-bahn stop. You are only three blocks from the Old Town, and about six blocks from a great beer hall, the Augustiner. It is an older neighborhood around the hotel, but I never felt unsafe. The rooms can be a little hot, but all the windows can be opened.

Hotel in it's period must have been exceptionally grand although now looks rather tired. Breakfast was very dissapointing and limited although the dining room was outstandingly beautiful. Room very comfortable, spacious and clean with lovely art deco features. We stayed over christmas but we were very dissapointed that there was no where to relax and the bar was closed all over the holiday. We had to search out a comfortable alternative hotel with a lounge and bar area.The housekeeping started too early and they were already in our room cleaning before we had even left for the day.
Great position, although in a sleazy road. Main station just minutes away as is tourist information and pickup points for organised tours. Would recommend for a city break if using the hotel as your base.

Well located hotel, only a few minutes walk from the main railway station and tram interchange, but about 20 minutes walk to the Marienplatz, the main part of the city. The street in which hotel is located is bit sleezy, strip club and casino opposite, but don't be put off, the hotel itself is good, with friendly and helpful front desk staff, good size bedroom and bathroom and very clean. Breakfast was superb, big choice served buffet style, so you can eat as much as you want, with endless refills of coffee. Room was above the street and overlooked the casino opposite, but glazing good and no sounds from the street. Well worth staying here.
