I booked this hotel because the name implies that it is situated in the city centre. Not quite. It is about a 10 minute brisk walk from the city centre.
It is a standard Holiday Inn hotel. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. I keep being frustrated by the fact that WiFi access is not free in Holiday Inn hotels. Not everyone travels on a business account.

I am a frequent traveler to Munich for business. Thought of trying out Holiday Inn since it is connected to a station. The room heater is NOT WORKING when temperature outside is actually -20degC! It is so cold that I had to request for a room change. Never expect to be discriminated by this front desk woman named Marcela Macedo. Apparently she only served people of the same skin color as her! She completely ignored me standing there for more than 20mins, allowing others to cut the queue. I had to scream for her attention eventually! The room was changed, but NO DIFFERENCE, NO HEATER AT ALL! I cancelled the remaining 5nights stay, and went to Hilton hotel opposite, so glad with my decision. Do not consider staying at Holiday Inn, certainly not worth the money and such poor service given! Why will Holiday Inn condone such poor service and attitude staff like Marcela Macedo???

(+) lift to underground station (Rosenheimer) which is two stops from Marienplatz and walking distance from Deutsche museum.
underground parking for your car which is cheaper compared to the nearby parking of Hilton.
(-) reception girls are not very polite.
although I am priority customer they delivered me two single beds, besides my booking voucher which was correct. When I showed them the voucher they told me that they can give me room with double bed in another floor without priority customer benefits.
No concierge services

What impressed us the most about this hotel was its location. It is a 40 minute train ride from the airport and the train stops under the hotel so you have internal access to the hotel no need to go outside in bad weather to get into the hotel.
From this hotel it is about 10 minute walk to Marionplatz it is an excellent location for walking all around the city.
It has some great restuarants very close by 2-5 minute walk from front of hotel.
The hotel was clean, comfortable and we would definitly stay here again.
