Clearly this property has seen better days. The area in which it is located itself I assuming in the early 1990'S must have been a busy commercial disctrict & at that point in time Iam sure this hotel would have served its purpose as a reliable business hotel. However now, most the offices seem to have moved out of the area & it seems this hotel is now oddly located, it is not close to the city centre nor to the CBD. The rooms while being spacious & that is saying a lot for most central European hotel tend to skim on space, however have dated fixtures & furnishing. the hotels lay out too is typical of buildings in Germany in the mid eighties I think, long endless passageways & corridors which now with the old furnishing tend to hame damp, dank smell about them.
The positives, the breakfast & service is consistent up to holiday inn standards, the metro station is a ten minute walk from which connectivity to the city centre is perhaps another 10 minutes. Tip stays here if they give a knock out rate let’s say Euro 70 odd with breakfast thrown in .
