We stayed at the Golden Tulip this week before catching our flight home the next morning. It was clean and the rooms were very large with good sized baths and flatscreen tvs with cable. However, there is NO air conditioning at all and, while the windows to the rooms open, the hotel is located on a very busy street corner and a choice between quiet and being able to sleep or being hot and uncomfortable in a stagnant room. It would be helpful if they could install some sort of air conditioning or other ventilation system since it's just too noisy with the windows open.

The hotel's restaurant was good as was the overall service.

The hotel location is close to the airport, this is the main reason we stayed there.

The staffs are very helpful, even provide dinner after the restaurant is closed at 10:30pm. The morning breakfast is included in the room, the food is OK.

The washroom is very clean, nice.

The only problem is lack of AC in the room.

We stayed in the Golden Tulip Olymp Hotel for 1 night during our road trip to Italy from CZ & we can't fault it. The price for 2 couples staying in 2 double rooms was very reasonable & included a buffet breakfast, free parking & free Internet access.

The room was very quiet, very clean & very comfy.

The bathroom has Villeroy & Boch tiles and granite wash basins.

The staff were very friendly even when we requested a table for 4 people in their restaurant when they were only open another 30 minutes! We had a great meal & drinks & the staff gave us as long as we needed.

We would stay here again!

Had a pleasant 4 night stay here in June 2010, I chose this hotel becuase of the price and the fact that it had parking. The hotel is nice enough is maybe a little dated decor wise. My room 155 was on the top floor of the hotel section and felt a little cramped as it had a sloped attic ceiling which meant that you couldn't stand up in the far corner of the room due to the ceiling height. The room had what i needed for my stay a comfortable bed, fridge, tv shower and was cleaned well everyday.

The hotel advertises that it has a pool and while it does it was closed at the time of my visit with a sign saying "closed probably until December 2010". Parking was easy most days inthe outdoor section and one night in the slightly more complicated underground section.

Some reviews have said the area isn't that great, I don't think it is an unsafe area just an outer suburb of Munich with a few local stores around. The staff were friendly and I always got a smile when I went to the bar to ask for some ice.

Not sure how good the public transport is from the hotel to the centre of Munich, I drove to a station one or two closer to Munich by some huge stadium and parked there and caught the train into the centre.

Overall a nice hotel but not for you if you are on foot wanting to be close to the centre of the city.
