In the middle of the most alive & centered area in Marienplatz! An antique traditioanal hotel,with its own style,old rooms with no amenities at all,elevator for only 2 with no extra space for the luggage,even Wi-Fi didn’t work at all times…yet it was really lovely…Its just what we were looking for to enjoy our 3 nights stay in Munich,thru our Eurotrip it was the hottest hotel spot with all its traditional and international restaurants ,beer gardens, shops,markets & totally wonderful atmosphere!

I have stayed in this hotel in Jan 2010 just for 3 days, as we were comming back from skiing in Alps, so I could not resist staying in Munich for couple of more days. This hotel didn't surpriced us that much, as we booked it just for the location. The rooms were avarage, the breakfast was less then we were expected. The lift in the hotel was the funniest I have seen, as it is the smallest I have ever seen before. You can just fit in one person and one bag or max of 2 people. So because there were 3 of us, we always were standing and deciding out of fun who will be riding today :-) Loved the wall on the reception, as they had lots of photos of famous people, who stayed in. That was a unique and nice thing about the hotel.

If you are American and pay by credit card, beware that they charge you in dollars using a very unfavorable exchange rate. This increases the cost by about $5/day.

This is a great hotel outside of the summer season. It doesn't try to be fancy or full service. But the rooms are spacious, recently renovated, and the hotel in general has the personality and charm of a well-kept older building.

I stayed here last summer and it was pretty hot. It was also noisy due to the late night crowd at the sidewalk restaurant downstairs.

My sisters and our daughters have an annual treck to different Christmas Markets. There were 8 of us on the trip and all were very pleased. The hotel is very friendly, clean, helpful with a fabulous restaurant. The dinner was amazing. The hotel is so convieniently situated to all means of transport as well as a good point to walk to different parts of the city as a sight seer. So thrilled with it that we are going back and all will be taking our husbands at some point. Highly recommended
