This was a last minute, low budget trip to Munich for work and it entirely exceeded our expectations. We booked through lowcostholidays and got an excellent deal (£120 for 2 people for 2 nights bed and breakfast) and we were thoroughly impressed by the standard of service that we received. There was easy transport access to and from the airport (and around the city) even late at night (we arrived in Munich at 11pm). We arrived at the hotel at around midnight and were politely greeted by reception. I had emailed the hotel before our visit requesting a kitchenette but had had no reply (most likely since it had only been a couple of days before hand). I explained this to the receptionist who upgraded our room for free without any hassle from a double room to a room with a double bed, single sofa-bed, walk in wardrobe, fold-away kitchenette area and ensuite. The room was clean and comfortable and there were little packets of haribo golden bears on the pillows! Since it was very late, we had one drink in the small but pleasant bar and then went to bed.
The breakfast in the morning was amazing. Well stocked buffet with a huge selection of tasty food. Very impressive. The service was efficient and polite and the breakfast room was nicely decorated with a pleasant atmosphere.
The staff at reception were particularly helpful throughout our visit, helping us to navigate around the city and to find places to eat and drink. I had an issue with the internet access to our room which was quickly resolved by a member of staff at reception.
We used the spa area once during our visit and found it to be clean and relaxing with a sauna and a steam room.
The area around the hotel is fairly residential, there are a few shops but not an awful lot of nightlife, however there are several handy supermarkets nearby which are great if you have a kitchenette area.
Overall we had an excellent stay at this hotel and we highly recommend it - it perfectly suited our needs and made the visit really enjoyable.
