“Great value, Nice room, Lovely place to stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012 via mobile

We stayed for three nights, us and another couple in two separate rooms. The room were lovely, great bed, really warm. We found we had to leave the window open (in December) and it was perfect. The breakfast was a little strange but maybe that's just a continental thing.
The reception staff were pleasant. I wouldn't say they were "nice" but they were good at what they do and they were by no means rude as i was expecting.
The bar was quiet, but the bar tender was a nice guy, albeit at times a little intrusive in his friendliness.

I'm nit picking. Lovely place. I'd reccommend it!

“Very clean and comfy, good location, poor customer service.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2012

Stayed here during our visit to Munich ... which was planned to coincide with (the very excellent) Oktoberfest celebrations.

Reception/check in was very slow. Twice we were given room keys that didn't work and then had to wait for another 30 minutes for the staff to give us one that did. We waited while they continued to serve other customers who arrived well after we did! Needless to say we weren't very impressed.

However, when we eventually got to my room, we were pleasantly surprised. It was massive! Big (and very clean) bathroom and super comfy beds which was good because we were really ony at the hotel to sleep off the multiple 1L steins of beer we consumed at Oktoberfest! Win!

While it isn't right in the middle of everything in Munich, it was only a 10 euro taxi fare (one way and while dressed in a traditional dirndl!) from the Oktoberfest grounds back to the hotel at the end of partying, so that was a bonus.

I loved Munich and would stay at this hotel again.

“Good hotel but location is poor”

Stayed for 2 nights at the end of November 2011 for the start of the Christmas Market (which was excellent for the record).
The hotel itself was good value for money, having paid a saver rate of 98 euros for two nights stay in a twin room. The staff seemed fairly helpful although their English wasn't as good as some other hotels I have stayed at in Germany. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The couple we stayed with noticed that their mini bar wasn't stocked (at all) despite having upgraded to a superior room, which seemed a tad strange. The major issue with this hotel is the location, which is a long way from the centre of Munich. We couldn't find any shops nearby either, just two resteraunts and a burger king.
Overall I couldn't find anything wrong with the hotel itself apart from the location. As a side note, I would advise foreign visitors to be careful about getting taxis to and from the town centre. On one occasion a cab driver charged 15 euros, the next driver tried charging us over 30! They will pretend not to understand English and take you to places you didn't ask to go, and also take extended routes to prolong the journey. They were the only negative aspect of a beautiful city with very friendly locals.

“Fairly new hotel - perfect for trade show stays”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 November 2011

I stayed at the Azimut hotel for a trade show in October and was pleasantly surprised. We had booked well ahead and got a very good deal (about €60 / night w/ breakfast), hence I wasn't too sure about the hotel's cleanliness etc.

The rooms were very clean, as were sheets and the bathroom. The furniture isn't the sturdiest, but since the hotel is still fairly new you don't really notice (I noticed because I moved my bed a bit to make space for a extra bed).

The only downside I noticed was some noise from the nearby highway and railway lines when I slept with open windows.

Breakfast was alright, a buffet with standard continental dishes, good tea and service was ok, too. I'd recommend taking your own internet cable as the hotel seems to be short on cables. There is a nice Italian restaurant down the road, but it is best to be on self drive. Ample free and fee parking is available. The hotel does offer a free bus shuttle to the fair grounds every 30min, which books out fast though.

All in all I would stay again if on self drive - both for business and leisure.
