As a family of four, two teenage children, we stayed here for four days last week after travelling from Munich.

The hotel is set on a quiet street and is in a traditional style, dating back some 200 years or more with later additions. The breakfast is excellent - great coffee in particular, and the views from the deck and balconies at the rear excellent towards the surrounding mountains.

Staff are very helpful re car parking and travel plans (parking was complimentary in the public underground garage at the rear of the hotel if you ask for a card at the reception first.

Partenkirchen is a little quieter than Garmisch - but it's all pretty relative, at least in summer -they are both quiet! The rooms are very comfortable although the beds are certainly on the firm side - be warned!

All in all a very comfortable hotel at a reasonable price and in a great location for touring the area.

This place is a great location for being near restaurants and plenty to do. The breakfast was fantastic!

We went to the Atlas Grand for their grand reopening in May of 2010. It was incredible. Unfortunately when we returned this year we were slightly disappointed. We had hiked the entire day and were looking forward to sitting in the sauna and maybe having a swim. We were told the pool is unheated so would likely be too cold and the sauna had not been turned on that day as there were not enough guests in the hotel. We went to our room instead and I enjoyed a very nice bath instead (the bathtub is extra deep).
The bed is not super comfortable but the breakfast was delicious with a lot of different items plus they made us whatever coffee we wanted (lattes, cappuccinos) with no limit.

High rates and bad service, especially at breakfast that was charged as extra price (€12,00) and rooms amenity. For double room we spent total omount of €336,00 for two nights.
Bed sheet didn't has replaced. As well they. Didn't replaced soap, shower gel and shampoos. We were two people.
As well at morning breakfast food availability was really poor. At 08.30 a.m. Was not available any more backon, eggs and bread. They toke more then 30mins to bring again the food.
As well one asked for sauna they informed me that wass off and they need 2hours to warm up (kindly note that is complementary).
Finally at check out time credit card was not working. Not only mine but most of the guest had same problems.
For such hotels as 4 stars suoerior they must keep same service and standard also if fully booked for BMW MOTORRAD DAYS.
By the way room was clean and comfortable. As well staff has been kind and comfortable.
