We booked 2 nights at Hotel Bavaria arriving on New Year's Eve. Though the hotel was busy preparing for the evening, we were promptly greeted. Our host Wolfgang enquired if we had plans for dinner. He said that a buffet was being served and he would reserve a table for us if required. This was the best dinner we had during our month in Germany. The chef is very very good - delicious Bavarian dishes such as Venison Goulash and Roast Goose were provided and the plentiful buffet was replenished regularly . The entree and dessert selection were also excellent. Other highlights were the jacuzzi in the fantastic bathroom and the views of Watzmann from the balcony. Wolfgang's wife was in hospital at this time so he must have been busy and stressed but he was always pleasant and charming, as were the staff in this lovely, comfortable family run hotel.
