This hotel has the following features:
Pro:
* The hotel is easy to get to from the train station – it’s a 5 minute direct public bus trip and nearly drops you off in front of the door
* The hotel room is spotlessly clean
* The hotel is located close to everything in the main town – restaurants, shopping etc.
* The beds are comfortable
* The streets are quiet at night time
* The shower pressure (when you remove the flow restrictor that was clogged) was great.
* The breakfast was satisfactory
Cons:
* The staff was less than satisfactory. Upon arriving at the hotel, the manager (I believe his name was Mr. Gfoeller) was very rude. He requested the voucher from our travel agent which I provided, but in order to keep my paper work in order, I asked if I may have a photocopy of the voucher, and he out right refused, after asking 3 or 4 times, he insisted that I have $0.50euro for the copy if I wanted one – we are talking about a sheet of paper!
* No free internet
* The shower pressure was really bad (the flow restrictor that was always clogging up clogged)
The lady serving breakfast was miserable, but her behaviour can be understood and excused, she was pregnant and had to serve a room full of people by herself without any help.
The cleaning lady was the friendliest and greeted with a smile and welcome – but sadly by the time we met her, the hotel
When the manager greeted us with such an unfriendly welcome, the whole hotel experience was ruined – thus why the poor rating.
I have been around German people, culture and hospitality all my life – and this is nothing like traditional service
