We stayed at the Alpenhof over the Christmas period and we were warmly welcomed from our arrival. The room was spacious and comfortable with a lovely view of the surrounding mountains. It is in great location - close to town but still had a feeling of seclusion. The heated indoor and outdoor pool (yes - even in the middle of winter it was warm) are in great for a morning or pre-dinner swim. There are also great spa facilities where one can enjoy a massage or facial and there is even a sauna and "rain" room. In addition, there is a well resourced fitness centre.The Alpenhof offers a fabulous buffet breakfast, afternoon tea and a lovely dinner with fresh, local ingredients.

Another fabulous stay at the Alpenhof. The new renovated Edelweiss room was stunning and the bathroom was excellent too. A marvellous program of events for the festive season and a highlight being Stefan's spectacular fireworks show on NYE. Our young adult children stayed with us for 4 days. They had a wonderful time and were most impressed with the state of art fitness center. The massage and facial treatments were superb. A swim in the heated outdoor pool when a light snow fell was amazing. Food and beverages were healthy...one would never know...so delicious.

We booked dinner at the Alpenhof for Boxing night and it totally delivered. There had been a big dump of snow earlier in the day so upon arrival it looked truly magical. The buffet was the only option however we weren't dissapointed. The array and choice was vast and everything was fresh , hot and constantly being replenished. The general athmosphere was superb and we even had a German band playing in the lounge while we ate. The staff were wearing traditional costumes and spoke excellent English , nothing was too much trouble. It's an absolute must if you are staying in the Berchtesgaden area

We have stayed at the Alpenhof several times in the summer months, and thought this year we would stay for Christmas. We had an excellent time. The hotel is very comfortable and welcoming, the food for the Christmas season was first-rate, and the service was friendly and discreet. The upgraded spa facilities are excellent, and we were able to swim in the outdoor pool, with snow all around, on Christmas morning. On Christmas Eve afternoon there was Christmas music and mulled wine around the Christmas tree in the Stubl. We highly recommend the hotel in all respects.
