We just spent four nights in this hotel and enjoyed our stay. There are some "issues" but all in all a nice place and great view of the lake. On looking around I would say this place has the second best view and location. Our room was traditional Bavarian wood style, which means lots of wood (bed, cabinets, ceiling, floors and doors). As most German hotels a little small but not unbearable. The bathroom was clean with tubs that double as showers. This could be a problem for older people as the tubs are very deep and hard to climb into. The hotel is old, as are most hotel in this town, but has lots of typical Bavarian character. Some of the wait staff were cold and slow (not American service) but get the job done if you are nice. Internet access in the lobby, but you have to ask for access. We did not eat any meal except breakfast and that was very good, (German style). All I can say is Hotel Seegarten is clean, traditional wood style, with great views and location. Oh yea, lots of steps and no elevator.
