This is one of the best memories we have from our 15 days of travelling in Germany in July 2011. A fantastic place to stay and relax . The rooms are large and has a beautiful view over a small lake and the fantastic mountains. The breakfast is excellent and the family are friendly and welcoming. Hotel Gablerhof will forever have a special place in our hearts and especially Frau Eichner´s breakfasts when she tried to get me to speak German witch she sucessfully managed to do with lots of laughs from all of us and the other guests. This was our second stay at the Hotel Gablerhof and I am pleased to say it was just as good as the first two years ago. This really is one of the best places we have stayed in Germany. The breakfast buffet is superb, the rooms spacious and well-equipped, the welcome warm and friendly and Frau Eichner's excellent English and sense of humour a real bonus. This really is the only place to consider styaing if you are in this part of Germany. 10 out of 10!

Wonderful, enthusiastic English-speaking innkeepers. Beautiful, quiet woodland setting. Unbeatable breakfast. Great base for whole Salzburg/Berchtesgaden area.

A beautiful room, a marvellous breakfast ,and great value, all in a wonderful setting. We stayed in several hotels on a 2 week Austrian holiday and Gablerhof was the best and by far the best value. The attention to detail was particularly notable: good reading lights,and a sitting and writing area in the bedroom,and a selection of books in both English and German in the sitting room downstairs. To round off the picture, Heidi was a most hospitable host. The highlight was the breakfast. We couldn't wait to get down there every morning
