My wife and I stayed a weekend in October in the Neuthor. We agree that it was the best hotel we utilized during a two-week visit to Germany, staying almost exclusively in small and sometimes out-of-the-way places purely German. We immersed ourselves in things German quite intentionally.
The Neuthor was very convenient to what we want while in Ulm. It was close to the cathedral and within easy walking distance of our other interests. Restaurants and shops were nearby. We parked our car and walked during our stay.
The Neuthor is on a very obscure side street and was difficult to find even with a pre-printed map. We finally got directions at another hotel.
The rooms were excellent. The staff was friendly, mainly in the personage of a young woman named Carmen. She kept apologizing for her English, but we found her easy to talk to.
Parking was in a nearby public garage.
We highly recommend this place.
