We love this hotel because we love autentic German food and clean AAA clean rooms. They delivered and we stayed for 5 or 6 days over there before they upgraded.

Friendly little hotel in a central and quiet location, well maintained and clean. You will hear the chimes of the Münster nearby, but it's not very loud. We had a large, bright room with excellent mattresses. I would also recommend the beautiful restaurant, which seems to be quite popular, so it might might be a good idea to make a reservation for your table. Good breakfast with homemade jams (eg, gooseberry and Dandelion jam) and juices.

I stayed at Hotel Bäumle for one night. The hotel is perfectly located, and the rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. The woman at the reception was also welcoming and friendly. The only aspect that worsened my opinion of Hotel Bäumle was the restaurant. According to "Feinschmecker", it was (2008) one of the top 500 restaurant in Baden-Württemberg. We ordered asparagus of different ways of preparation and with different side dishes. Moreover, one of us ate a pepper steak. No dish was really good, either the asparagus was too hard or the meat was basically flavourless. In addition to that, the waitress was pretty rude. We concluded the dinner with an espresso, which tasted bitter and which was not available with milk froth.

All in all, I would stay at this hotel again but not eat at the restaurant again. By the way: the breakfast was also served in the restaurant and was fine! Self-made muesli, self-made jams etc. Only the bretzels were old and dry.

We were in Ulm for a wedding, so the walking distance of 3 minutes to the Muenster was perfect. Rooms were recently refurbished so these were clean and very functional. Breakfast was included, which was served in the 'Wine Stube' which was buffet style and what one would expect. The Baeumle is an old wine house which has been refurbished, however there is no lift in the house.

It is exactly what one would expect of a decent, clean and well located Hotel in a German town with a little bit of character thrown in for good measure. However, what made this a different experience was that when something didn't run to clock work, and this was due to the lock in our room suddenly not working, instead of resolving the issue politely and curteously, it was us who hadn't handled the situation correctly, followed by personal abuse which neither my wife nor I had ever whitnessed before. It is simply for this reason that my experience of this hotel was one where both the owner and her Duty Manager, demonstrated such deplorable behaviour that Hotel Baeumle and I will never see each other again.

The wedding party and guests who live in Ulm, were so shocked by this appaling treatment of us that 80+ Ulmer people will not be recommending this hotel to future friends or family visiting.
