“Hotel am Wilhelmsplatz”

Hotel am Wilhelmsplatz is the best choice if you plan to visit a gig at the Schlossplatz - that's what I did in August 2011 when Placebo and 30 Seconds To Mars were performng at the Mercedes Benz Festival in Stuttgart.

"+" Comfortable beds, excellent location and price (close to the city centre and cheap), good choice of TV channels

"-" Absence of a fridge and a safe in the room, the lift stops working after 9-10 pm and you need to use the stairs, so it is not convenient for people with limited mobility, Internet is provided at the additional price

Room Tip: If you're not fit enough to climb the stairs and plan to come back to the hotel after 9pm every...

“Affordable and near the city centre”

I stayed in a single room in this hotel for 3 nights in early December 2007 whilst visiting the Christmas markets in Stuttgart.

The room was comfortable and had all the facilities I needed including a sofa to sit on whilst watching the cable TV and a mini bar. The room and the ensuite shower room was clean and serviced daily.

It wasn't a plush hotel and looked like it was due for a refit at sometime in the future, but it did represent good value for money and was very convenient for the city centre, shops and Christmas markets,

The room I had overlooked the square and I on Friday and Saturday nights it was quite noisey, although you would expect this from any hotel in a central location.

I would consider staying at this hotel again and would be happy to recommend it to others.
