“Exceeded my expectations...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2011

After reading some of the other reviews before my trip, I wasn't sure what to expect. I found this hotel to be modern with up-to-date facilities and very convenient to the airport. It is not close to City Center and took me 2 or three train changes to get there. There is a station right by the hotel. If you are expecting an "American" style room (very large with the new "comfort beds") you may want to see what upgrages the hotel can offer. It was a clean traditional European hotel room that resembled my room on my most recent cruise. Internet will cost you about 22 E a day. There are so many restaurants and bars in the hotel and underground connected to a "mall/theater" next door. There is also a casino on sight. This is perfect for the business traveller.

“Large, well run resort hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 December 2010

My wife and I were stuck in Stuttgart during the recent bad weather in Europe. British Airways (whose local staff looked after us very well whilst we were stuck there) booked us into the Millennium Hotel for 1 night. It's location was unusual in that it wasn't in the city or that near the airport. It's a vast complex with two accommodation wings a number of restaurants, an Irish pub and a large function room that was obviously being used when we arrived as there were hundred's of people about. Service throughout the hotel was very good as was the dinner and breakfast we had. Not the sort of hotel we would have chosen but it was good.

“nice enough but a little isolated from Stuttgart Messe”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 November 2010

Stayed at the hotel with others who were attending a trade show at the Stuttgart Messe. Rooms were pretty nice but the pillows were way too small. Location was too far away from the trade fair. Breakfast was good. Although the place has all sorts of restaurants they are closed on Mondays (the day we arrived). We had dinner one night at the brew pub. It was pretty good, but we had better luck at a near by restaurant (Gasthof Riedsee on Elfenstraße - about 5 minutes away by cab). Internet was 22 Euro per day (ouch) and you have to go to the front desk every day to get a sheet of paper with the password).Would pick somewhere else the next time I am in Stuttgart

“Location, location, location...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2010

Don't stay in this hotel unles you either want to indulge in the rather ageing and uninspiring amusements right around, or have any business with the close-by U.S. army facilites...the whole complex reflects the charm of the 1980s, and around it you will find nothing interesting except the "attractions" mentioned above. Taking into account that the hotel is located in the countryside, it was particularly annoying to be forced to use the (expensive) garage facilities. The center of Stuttgart is far away, perhaps the proximity to the "Autobahn" is good since it makes escaping quite easy. Overall--outdated hotel, which is overpriced when looking at everything!

“Nice Place to Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 July 2010

Although located outside of the city center, the hotel is on the train line and very convenient to traveling downtown. I stayed in a business suite room which was very large and nice (and seemed to be a bit cooler than others reported their rooms to be). Hotel is located on the highway yet very quiet. Our room rate included breakfast at the Times Square restaurant in the hotel - the breakfast was fantastic, both in terms of quality and choice. I ate at the Times Square for lunch a couple of times and found the food to be ok but a bit expensive.

The fitness center leaves a lot to be desired. Very small and very warm (not much in the way of air conditioning in terms of what we are used to in the US). Two treadmills, two stationary bikes, one elliptical/stairmaster, and two combo stations for weight/resistance training. The upside was that the use of the facility is free and it wasn't crowded either time I visited.

Wireless internet was extremely slow but could have been because we had a large event with numerous people accessing the wi-fi simultaneously.
