Nothing fancy, but clean and quiet and not too far from the City Centre. I paid 68,50 eur per night for a single room, which felt right.

Listen- Stuttgart is a beautiful city with lots of hotel choices, so trust me when I say YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN THIS. The room was over-priced, very small, and unbelievably out-dated. The write-up for this place is NOT accurate. The phone is not what you would expect (could not use it). There also was no radio. I suspect the room has not been updated since the 50s. The biggest problem was the traffic outside the window. The hotel is right on a 5 lane highway, so it was too noisy to open a window. Not so bad if there was any circulation, which there was not: no fan, no AC, no, NO, NO!!! To their credit the windows were very high quality, so once closed there was little noise. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

Hotel Find sits just south of the main city district. The entrance to the Osterreich platz subway station is just literally a few steps from the front entrance. The hotel is about 4 stops from the central station (hauptbahnhof). If you don't want to use this, then a 10minute walk will get you to the main strip in Konig strasse. There isnt too much in the immediate vicinity of the hotel which sits on a main highway. Road noise is an issue if you get a room facing the road.

The hotel is a fairly good 2 star hotel. The rooms are a bit old but are clean. The beds are quite comfortable and the bed sheets were surprisingly of very good quality. My small double room was quite barren - 2 beds, tv, a small table and radiator heating. There's no kettle, fridge or air conditioning. I would expect the room to be very hot in the middle of summer. The continental breakfast is reasonable - OJ, corn flakes, cold meats, cheese, tea/coffee, fruit salad.

There is free WIFI provided which is great if you remember to bring along your laptop (get the password from reception). Most of the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. In particular, there are 2 old men at the reception who can get real grumpy.

To start, we got a special "weekend" price to stay at the Hotel Find (70 euros/night). Not sure how special the price was, but any discount is nice!

Really only have good things to say about this hotel--if you don't mind older furnishings and decor that's a little worse for wear, you'll be fine. We did book a double, and got a room with two single beds in it, which was odd for a couple traveling together, but not big deal. We had a room with a shower & WC in it, but the door to the bathroom was a vinyl accordion type door, rather than a real door--also no big deal really. Our room faced the back--no spectacular view, but was definitely quiet.

Breakfast was good--the usual German breakfast buffett of cold cuts, sausage, cold cereal, a variety of breads and toast, coffee, tea, juice, etc.

Staff was very friendly, and the location was great--the subway is literally around the corner--it was very easy to get to from the train station. Its also within walking distance of the pedestrian zone & shopping district. There were a number of good restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone on a budget looking for a clean, safe, friendly place to stay!
