“Genealogy -1700-1930 Laupheim”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

Hotel staff, the restaurant, and the location across from the train station was perfect. We were able to obtain train info at the hotel as well as the train station operators. People at the train station were very helpful. We trained to Laupheim where we met a person named Sabine who took us where my ancestors are buried (1750-1909) to my great-grandfather and great-grand mother are buried. A plaque on the wall as you entered the cemetary gates indicated friends and family who died in the gas chambers. The cemetary was right where lived.

“Perfect Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

"Am Schlossgarten" is at the best location in Stuttgart - just on top of the Königsstrasse, perfect for shopping - we expected a good service (for that costs....) and we got what we expected. The rooms are perfect clean every time we stay there - no matter if you got the suite or the standard room. Personal is skilled and cover any wish you may have (we traveled first time with a baby). Hotel is just above a car park who is pretty expensive for Germany but ok if you think about the location you are. The dinner at the hotel was good but pricy, better you leave the hotel and go to one of the restaurants in the area. Breakfast is one of it's kind - large buffet with anything you need.

Room Tip: So higher so better - ask for the floor - Floor "S" (top floor) is the best one - no noise...

Dear Mr. S.,

Thank you for your warm words regarding your stay with us. We are happy to receive such positive feedback.

Let us draw you attention to our new "Gourmetrestaurant Schlossgarten Bernhard Diers" opening in May. You can have a Swabian delicacy there prepared by our Michelin Star decorated chef for lunch at a low price.

We are looking forward to welcoming you and your family back to our hotel.

Best regards,

We were advised by this site to get a Garden View room and were lucky enough for our request to be accommodated..room 309 or 409 are the pick. Resturant was beautiful...easy access to the xmas markets, railway station and local shops.Look forward to staying there again!

“Wonderful experience in heart of the city.”

We did not know what to expect of this hotel and from the outside it does not look anything very special.....however, inside it is wonderful. We had an end room overlooking the park and even a small balcony. The service was excellent and the room was spotlessly clean. I enjoy all the little extras such as the robe and slippers, a piece of chocolate every night, Penhaligon's toiletries and the remote for the TV on the bedside locker with the TV guide open at the appropriate page. The hotel breakfasts were excellent and all the staff very helpful. It is in a superb location for the railway station and also for visiting the Christmas markets. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room, we had one facing the park.

Dear lasvegas-marmalade,

Thank you for finding such nice words to tell us about your stay with us. We are very happy that you had a good time.

Our hotel is a listed building, so we are unable to change the facade at all. But the way you have described our interior makes us look forward to welcoming you back at your next stay in Stuttgart.

“Struggling to find a fault here”

Stayed here for two nights in a single room whilst on a business trip in November. Good hotel in a good location. The room was clean and well appointed, and although I only had breakfast in the hotel, the food was good and staff offered fried eggs and bacon if you wanted it. Overall the service was excellent and I enjoyed my stay. The only things I would critisize....and this really is being a bit picky.......is that there was no tea and coffee facility in the room. Also, my room was close to where the maids stock their trolleys in the morning and this can get a little noisy. I know some other reviews say about the lack of English channels available on the TV, but you are in Germany so can expect to see German telly! Oh, and you can't get a decent cup of tea in Germany but they do love their coffee!
