I stayed 1 night in Stuttgart after a trip around London, Southampton and Bavarian and Baden Germany, just before i flew out to Singapore. Very comfortable hotel. Small but well equipped. I stayed in an adjacent building from the hotel and being a solo traveler felt safe there. The ladies in the reception were very helpful even with allowing me to use their laptop there to access the internet and providing information on the sights. Only trouble i had was dragging my luggage bags up the stairs to the hotel as i did not realise there was another way in but i had to take a huge turn. The hotel is close to the train station (3 min walk) so I would suggest that you get a cab from there if you have luggage bags. It is difficult dragging them on cobble stones! Otherwise, breakfast was adequate and I found their pricing reasonable for the location.

We stayed at quite a few hotels between February and May this year and the Hotel Pflieger would have to be one of our favourites. About ten minutes walk to the train station, with very pleasant comfortable rooms and extremely attentive staff, this hotel could not be faulted and was extremely good value for money. We particularly liked the spaciousness of the room and the large bathroom. Breakfast was generous.

Hotel Pflieger has two buildings, namely the Main and Dependence buildings. I stayed in the Main building for about 2 weeks during a business visit to Stuttgart. Chose this hotel as it was very close to my workplace.

Booked a single room through booking.com and the reservation was confirmed without any hassles. The hotel is located in central Stuttgart with the Hauptbahnhof (Stuttgart Central Train Station) just 5 minutes away by walk. Hence, getting around by train/bus is very easy. There are numerous eating places in and around the station and the main shopping area Konigstrasse is just 10-15 minutes by walk. If you have the time, do not miss the auto museums - Mercedes Benz and Porsche.

From the outside, the hotel appears insignificant and I was a bit skeptical. However, once I saw the interiors and the rooms, I was at ease. I was given a double room and hence a lot of space to move around. Rooms are of decent size, very clean and feel new. Attached bathroom was also quite spacious with a shower area. Housekeeping on a daily basis was quite immaculate. The staff are very courteous and ready to help you in anyway they can. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was an impressive spread. Free WiFi worked very well without any issues.

Overall, a very good option in Central Stuttgart. Recommend this one.

Very clean, quite spacious room, 5 minutes walk from the railway station, but the district is quiet and decent, good breakfest, very welcoming staff and very reasonable retes. I choose this hotel because of it's closeness to the station and didn't expect more, but it exceeded my expectations. I'd advise it not only for those who need to spend a night between a train and a plane (which was my case), but for spending some days in the city, too. It's of no frills, but very comfortable even for such fastidious like I am.

Free internet access was somewhat weird - my MacAir couldn't enter autorization page, and manual told that you need IE or Netscape Navigator to use it.
