For some who have read some of my reviews this hotel explains everything.......
I have a real problem with British B&B's that charge £50 plus for a room with no real facilities and a breakfast. Here in Germany was a proper hotel at the same price with superb facilities for a week-end break.
The hotel was situated a very short walk from the local station and was very smart in appearance in a quiet area. The reception was modern but tasteful and there was a lift to all rooms.
Our room overlooked the street and was large enough that it included a sitting are as well. The furnishing were very clean, modern and comfortable. A mini bar and safe was provided and there was wifi as well.
The ensuite was strangely a wet room. Not sure why in a very urban area. Everything worked and there was toileterries as well.
Breakfast was from 6.30 (er yes that is 6.30) until late and was ample and seemingly endless. On the Sunday we spent 45 minutes idling over coffee.
There was a bar that on the Saturday around midnight we thought we might be waking up the receptionist. Only to find a load of middle aged German lady guests arrive 10 minutes later followed by another group. They then carried on much later than us.
So good value for a city hotel, clean comfortable, modern, spacious and.................... we even got a free travel pass for the rail network in Stuttgart!
