VERY convenient to Porsche museum - just a quick walk down the road to museum and the railway station too. Breakfast was very good and the meal we had at the Italian restaurant also. Looks unpromising on the exterior but the room we had was very clean and quite spacious by European standards - lovely comfy bed & pillows. Despite the main road outside our room was very quiet. Very pleasant reception staff too.

I was surprised at the exterior, since it looks like a dump, but it's not that bad inside. My room was more spacious than my companion's whose was teeny tiny...barely space to put down his things. I had the kitchenette. McDonald's is very nice next door, easy for breakfast, so don't pay the 7E. Parking costs if you park in their garage, but is free in the empty building lot next door. There is nothing nearby, so you'll need a car for getting around, about 20 mins drive to downtown. Staff was friendly. Internet was free for 24 consecutive hours, but if it expires, just visit reception for another ticket. If you need the kitchenette, you'll need to get cookware and serviceware. None was provided in the room.

Nice modern reception area and clean room. Working elevator. Decent English speaking receptionists. Several restaurants in the building complex, including McDonalds.

One of the few professional hotels that did not have free internet. For our two day they gave us a one hour wifi pass. Internet is much more useful in hotels than TV. Parking in their garage is 5 Euro / per day. The worst is figuring out how to enter and exit the garage. No instructions. You put your room key at garage entry and twist it. To exit pull the red/white chain as you go by in the car. Real weird.
As seems typical of many European hotels, there was no AC in the 27 C weather. The window opens but it is fairly noisy traffic. Simple $0.50 foam earplugs should be included in your travel kit.

For my sons graduation I arranged to visit the Porsche and Mercedes museums in Stuttgart (thoroughly recommended btw!) and booked the Achat well over a month in advance and they CONFIRMED back. Arrived from airport at 7pm and they advised that since I hadn't confirmed they had sold the room at 6!
No good showing them the confirmation, all the rooms were full so they phoned another hotel which I then had to pay a taxi to get us to. If you are going to screw up don't then send your ex-customer to a flea pit on an industrial estate with no restaurants nearby and the view of a scrapyard from their window!
