I always check out hotels on Tripadvisor before booking, and was impressed by the fact that management had taken the time to reply to many of the comments.
I booked by telephone, with charming and helpful Martina, who listened to my request for a room with a wet-room shower which is more suitable for my disabled husband. As we were en route by train to Austria we booked a stopover each way to break the journey from France.
I cannot praise the staff highly enough. The front desk had helpful girls, in particular, Amelie. The rooms were ideal, quiet, air conditioned, and with excellent bathrooms. We had room service breakfast , brought on a table decorated with a rose.
At each stay we ate in Zeppelino's and, although one sandwich order was very late we had to forgive the waitress, who apologised profusely that she had forgotten it. On return my husband ate 'the best steak ever', from Iowa, and we were looked after very helpfully, waiters noting that my husband walks with a stick and so offering us a table away from the steps.
All in all this hotel is one we would reeturn to. For us the location was ideal, opposite the station, but more important was the feeling that we were welcomed and cared for.
Room Tip: We have nothing to compare, as our rooms were on the rear both times, which was very quiet.
