“This business hotel offers great value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 December 2011

I've been there hundreds of times over the last ten years and it is still my preferred hotel when I am in the region. This place outperforms most of the other Holiday Inns. I think it's a good choice if you're doing business in Stuttgart or in it's north.

Pro:
- Very well maintained
- Comfortable and spacious rooms, especially the Executive Rooms
- Very nice restaurant with a glass roof, pretty good cuisine
- Very good breakfast
- The staff is well trained and eager to please you.
- When I had technical problems in my room in the past they always got it fixed the next day.
- If you're a Priority Club member they will provide you upgrades to Executive, there will be free refreshments in the room and they deliver a newspaper in the morning. They even remember my preferred newspaper every time I'm there.
- There is also a bar area adjacent to the restaurant and the lobby which is quite nice.
- The hotel is conveniently located to the Autobahn A61 and the S-Bahn is 30 yds from the entrance and will take you dontown in 10-15 minutes.
- Nice sauna on the highest floor with a terrace overlooking the area

Cons:
- It's in a suburb among office towers, there are almost no restaurants closeby
- The gym is rather small.
- Parking in the garage is expensive and most of the parking spaces require you to drive through a long and very narrow tunnel. If you park directly in front of the hotel you will get a ticket for sure. (But there is some free parking in the street)
- House keeping often forgets this and that

Room Tip: Look for Executive Rooms

“Will not stay in this hotel chain again”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 November 2011

We stayed 3 nights in Stuttgart at Holiday Inn, driving a rental car. The hotel is located in an industrial area, directly opposite a little train station. The front desk staff encouraged us to park in the 13 euros/day hotel carpark and advised us there was no free parking available in the area. Upon asking pedestrians in the area, we found out that all the on-street parking was unlimited and free, right next to the hotel. We had several pieces of luggage and no staff member ever offered to help us with our luggage. We were given a single sized blanket in our room and it took about half an hour for housekeeping to bring a second blanket. The housekeeping staff removed our packet of M&M's (which were not empty) and also the shower gel/shampoo that was attached to the shower wall!! They also threw away our piece of paper we left on the table with our internet password on it.

Internet is not free, although it costs only 4 euro/24 hours. there is also a business centre which allows you to print and photocopy (for free). The restaurant food is reasonable but more expensive than outside the hotel. There is no fridge/minibar in the room but there were coffee/tea-making facilities. There are vending machines on 2 levels of the hotel if you want any drinks or snacks.

The 70 sq cm sized shower cubicle was very difficult to use with a shower curtain sticking to you as you move in the shower. Even for very slim people.

“Nice hotel, good transportation options, good breakfast.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 November 2011

This hotel is literally located 50 meters from the U-bahn. Very easy to get around Stuttgart and to the Volksfest/Wassen (if that is what you are there for). There is even free street parking at this hotel, although they offer a parking garage for a fee. The breakfast was LARGE and PLENTIFUL!

“Nice Stay..”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 November 2011

Stayed one night at this hotel while visiting the Porsche factory, as it was relatively close and provided convenient access to the Autobahn. The location is in a nice business/industrial area. Since we had an automobile, we took advantage of the underground self-park facility (not free, there is a charge). There is a train station right next door, if you want to venture out without a car. We were greeted by a friendly person who indicated that since I was a member of their Priority Club, I would receive a complimentary suite upgrade. It was a modern looking corner room with 2 bathrooms and a separate living room (see pictures). While it was nice and spacious, we pretty much stayed in the bedroom area the whole time while in the room. The stay included breakfast in their new buffet facility (they told us it had just opened 7 days prior to our arrival after renovation). We walked in at 9:50 to be greeted by a waiter looking at his watch who indicated they would only be open 10 more minutes, even though the sign said breakfast served till 10:30. But this was no issue as we got what we wanted before they started their clean up at 10am. This hotel, because of its location, appears to cater heavily toward the business crowd, not the tourist, which is OK. Overall the stay was pleasant and we would return if we needed a hotel in this area.

“Up to standard services”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 October 2011

I stayed at this hotel for two nights. It's easily accessible from the main train station in an area with several company offices. The staff were friendly and very helpful for inquiries. And the breakfast is totally worth the money. The charge for WiFi is quite reasonable, with very good speed. Overall, I've enjoyed my stay there very much.

Room Tip: Not the room facing the train station.
