I stayed at the Astoria for a few days in June as part of a trip to Stuttgart. The staff were very friendly and my room was a good size with a small balcony. No air-con which would have been useful, but the room was clean and good value for the price.

Breakfast was good and relaxed. Location of the hotel is central with good links via the train just around the corner.

The hotel had everything I needed for a good business hotel, including clean rooms, quiet sleeping conditions, good breakfast, and free internet. It is not a 5-star hotel but it is good and nice enough, especially for the price. Would definitely recommend.

The elevator is not working, we climbed to 2nd floor, and saying the cleaning is not finished yet, then we went down 0 floor, and afterward we climbed to 2nd floor again. BTW, good breakfast and good location.

Good bits : Excellent location, just a short walk to the s-bahn and u-bahn trains and central Stuttgart shopping. Great Breakfast. Location is why I would recommend this hotel. It was clean and the bed was comfortable, good price.

Bad Bits: decor old, no pram access - lots of stairs to get to the lift that didnt fit a 3 wheel pram! Also most things were not working in out room eg fridge not working, only lights worked, broken soap dispenser. No Air Con, broken fan!
Staff were ok but not overly helpful eg nothing was fixed, repaired or replaced on mentioning the above broken things - no apology was offered either..
No tea making in the room, we just wanted a jug to boil water to heat the baby food but this wasnt available in the room.
