I went to Mannheim for several years and this hotel is one of the best. It is much less expensive than the other famous hotels in the city but as confortable and clean as they. Come without fear and try it. family operated with very kindly persons. Looks like home. I will come back for sure.

Close to train station, medium walk to the reconstructed Palace. Hotel room was comfortable, clean, great shower, enough space, good wifi, double glazed windows. Elevator. Very nice buffet breakfast. Beware the steam heat that comes on about 5 a.m. and makes the feather duvet a bit too hot. Our room always seemed humid but the rest of the hotel was not this way. Loved the fact that the cleaners open the doors and windows to air out rooms recently vacated, regardless of the frigid temps outside. Most staff was helpful, although one grumpy breakfast attendant denied decaf coffee was available when the next two mornings there was no problem getting it from other attendants.

I stayed for a day on my business Trip in Germany. This Hotel is Just 3 Mins. Walk from Mannheim Main Railway Station. Walk from Station towards Subway Food rest. & from side of Subway you can see the Hotel. Nice Room in Good Price.
I would prefer to book this hotel in my all future trips to this area.

We stayed here for three nights while visiting our son who is studying at the University. We were glad we had stayed here. First, it's only a block from the train station and convenient to shopping, restaurants and the university. The rooms, while small, were very clean and well cared for. The buffet breakfast was the best we had while visiting several hotels throughout Germany and France- tasty, fresh, varied and served nicely on white tablecloths, etc. The staff were welcoming and helpful with regard to directions. Their English was sufficient for me to communicate since I know very little German. The Wegener is not a luxury hotel with lots of amenities but if you're looking for a clean, well located and relatively inexpensive hotel in Mannheim, this is a very good choice.
