The hotel is quite old but its also very cheap. It is not in the greatest place in the city but very centrical. You do not need to take the option with breakfast since you can find cheaper options for breakfast just 3 minutes away.
The room was clean and big, the bathroom quite good and also very clean. The bed was comfortable.
Overall is a good compromise hotel if you do not want to spend a lot of money.

This hotel isn't worthy of a star rating. After arriving on a Sunday night, I discovered the rates will change the next day. It was during the May Fest and I was told the rates would eventually increase again the same week. A small old room the size of a shoe box without refrigeration, ice access or any other type comfort accomodations rates increased within three days from 59euros to 130 euros. When I elected to change hotels, I was charged 80% of the hotel cost for a night I didn't stay there, even though I gave notice at 0700 in the morning. The receptionist claimed she could not contact the manager and seemed very confrontational. So I paid and left very dissatisfied, unhappy and ripped off.

This hotel is a sad joke. Unfortunately I had to spend 2 weeks here for a business trip, so I had time to discover every day something bad... Where do I start from?

-furniture is from the 1960's
-bed is too soft
-everywhere you look, there is something falling apart
-2 out of 4 elevators work, and the ones that work are incredibly slow
-the pub you see on their webpage has been dismantled
-no room service
-curtain is too light, light comes in in the early morning
-just a few TV channels, most of the times frozen on an image for the whole day
-WLAN is 5 euros/day or 12 euros/3 days
-blood spot on the beedsheets

These are just some of the reasons why I will never come back to this place and why I suggest you to go somewhere else. I halso changed hotel for the last nights of my stay in the ugly Mannheim.

The biggest joke anyway are the pic pictures in the lobby showing how everything will look after the renovation (but they don't say when it's gonna happen): they really make you feel even more stupid you ended up right here, right now...

Once again, please go somewhere else, and don't trust the hotel website and pictures!

The only good thing about this hotel is it's location. Otherwise I do not see why they call themselves a 3 star in some webpages even a 4* hotel! Not close to that. The rooms were not properly cleaned and the staff was not prepared to answer even the simplest questions about Mannheim.
