I have been fortunate to visit Karlsruhe four times in a span of 2 years (thanks to my friend Martin Wacker, from Karlsruher Messe- und Kongress) and the city has started to fascinate me. This time again I stayed at Ringhotel Residenz.

A beautiful property, centrally located and just opp Karlsruhe main station. Infact most of the tourist spots are walking distance, including the university, city centre and the congress centre.

I was informed that the hotel was built in 1919. Inspite of that it has all the modern facilities. Also complimentary broadband access is provided at the reception.

Well located hotel, a few steps away from the train station. Very helpful staff. Lovely, clean rooms. The buffet breakfast was delicious. I would definitely return!

I stayed at this hotel for five nights when I visited Karlsruhe for a summer school in September 2007. The location couldn't be better - it is right next to the main train station. The trams outside could be a problem for some but they did not bother me.

On arrival, I got a warm welcome by the friendly and very efficient staff. I was offered some water and juice and even asked if I had had an enjoyable journey.

The staff were very friendly and _always_ greeted me with a smile. The room was comfortable and amenities were more than adequate. When returning to the hotel in the evenings, the staff were careful to check the name of the guest on their computer system before handing the key over - a nice touch, carried out very discreetly and efficiently. The spread at breakfast was filling and yummy (their booklet in the rooms describes it as a 'rich international buffet').

I thouroughly enjoyed my stay, will definitely stay here again, if I can and highly recommend it!!

My husband, daughter and I stayed at this hotel recently for two nights. We were visiting Karlsruhe to check out the city and surrounding areas, as my daughter will be living here for a year in connection with her university course.
The hotel is well positioned beside the main train station in Banhofplatz and in the central tram and taxi area. Excellent for travellers to the city.
We were also a very short walk from the Tourist Information Office and Karlsruhe Zoo and Stadgarten.
The hotel Residenz had excellent accomodation and included a superb Buffet Breakfast.
We will use this hotel again during our return visits to Karlsruhe.
