This kind of small boutique hotel offers a great service/acommodation for a good price. Our room was very clean, quiet (even on the 1st floor) and comfortable. The breakfast worths the price. I definitely recommend this hotel.

We booked the rooms online, because we thought it looks nice for that price. When we were there, we absolutely loved it. Such a stylish, cute hotel. We couldn't have made a better choice. The rooms are simple but beautiful and the bathrooms very elegant. Everything was high standard and carefully picked without being overloaded. I am normally too lazy to write reviews, but in this case I have to tell everyone how happy I was with it. It's also in the old town centre, so you can reach everything within walking distance. We fell in love with Heidelberg and we will definitely only book with the Villa Marstall. Just all in all a lovely experience. We will come again.

The Villa Marstall is a nice boutique hotel. Staff were fluent in English, and very friendly and helpful with information, bags, etc. Rooms were large (for Europe), comfortable, well furnished; bathroom was big enough and shower was hot & strong.

The hotel's front door opens across a 1-lane road from the Heidelberg memorial to the Holocaust (Synagogue Square). Also, there is a house (next to the Square) that used to be part of the old Synagogue until the Nazis deported all the Jews from Heidelberg in 1940; the house has a plaque on its side wall listing the names of all those deported -- and when we were there, a well lit Christmas tree was visible in the living room window.

I have made many trips to Heidelberg over the past 17 years and always have had a great time. This time I brought my girl friend (a Belgium native) and wanted to make ths trip something special/magical. In my opinion Villa Marstall is perfect. I was in room 22 (corner room with balcony). Clean, up to date, classy and comfortable and on the river. Parking was a 10 minute walk crossing the old town, through the Christmas markets (probably the most wonderful walk home from work one could ever imagine). As others have noted, the staff are nice, friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was nice (I have had better spreads but the food was of quality). She LOVED the hotel and town. What can more can you say, its a stay in a Villa!
