Partial praise to the owners of this hotel. They have taken what seems to be an ancient building and gutted it to make a very modern 3-4star hotel which seems to work or I should say would work much better if they paid more attention to what really is required in a hotel which charges the ABSURD for what it is. It starts off pretty badly when you try and find the place…and when you do you have to park about 20 mins away from where they are but that’s not what they say on the website! Struggling to get here with a heavy suitcase the receptionist finally shows up and gives your key but even after complaining about the long walk…doesn’t even offer to help you with your luggage to the room.

Yes,there is a lift, and the rooms are modern if sparse and cheaply decorated…pictures hung crooked,no safe and a tiny TV stuck on the back of a cupboard….no tissues in the bathroom and cold floors with a tiny piece of carpet. Good lighting amd aircon though, and WiFi lan which does work but nowhere decent to put the computer!!!….Alas the managers and owners don’t seem to care…the phone wasn’t working as the ‘plug had been stolen’ but not a word of apology and we were totally ignored when we went downstairs for dinner….not even a “good evening” (rare for Germany) so off we went to another restaurant!

The most annoying thing however were the cheap curtains which let the light shine through at 6 am and totally ruined my desire to sleep in for once….so woke up early very determined never to set foot in this strange place again….No how to get all my luggage to the parking lot without getting another hernia!
