My husband and I stayed here during our honeymoon last month and loved it and Heidelberg. I agree with previous reviews praising the food (save some room if you can for one of the alcoholic ice cream desserts) and the great location of the hotel in the road leading up to the Alte Brucke. We didn't notice any nighttime noise, but after reading reviews on here, had specifically booked their 'Honeymoon' suite with it's own private terrace. This is on the top floor of the hotel and you have a great view over the rooftops and towards the castle. We'd recommend a castle visit , which is well worth the 5 Euro entry price which includes the 5 minute funicular ride to and fro. Plus an extra 4 Euro gets you an English language guided tour of some of the castle's rooms. And the food at the Hotel Zum Ritter on the nearby square was also fanastic - ask for the English version of their menu! I hope we'll be back there again soon...
