Elite hotel was our choice because of excelent location (located at the center and in a quiet street) and good value. The hotel is old, but it has certain something. The staff was very friendly and the service was good. The breakfast was delicious and everybody colud find something for themselves. I'm sure we will stay at the same hotel another time we visit our family in Heidelberg.
I booked this hotel over booking.com and had no problems with the payment.

And another plus...me and my partner found the hotel very romantic.

I stayed at this hotel one night. I made my reservation by booking.com and i choosed a special offer. At that time I payed using my credit card but when i reached the hotel they asked me to pay again even I showed my reservation paper. After i came back and checked my bank account i found that i was double-charged. I contacted the hotel manager and he admitted the double-payment and assured me that i will be refunded.
After more that two months, despite my e-mails, nothing happened.

My wife stayed here for business because of her conference at the nearby Crowne Plaza because her per diem didn't cover the charges there. I stayed with her the weekend before and we explored the town.

The last review for this location was two years ago and nothing has changed at all. It is still in need of renovation, more so obviously. All of the carpets and furniture are old and tired. The mattresses need replacement. All of the fixtures in the bathrooms were loose, very loose. I was afraid to touch anything for fear of breaking them.

The Internet still doesn't work on the upper floors, breakfast is still very simple, staff was perhaps less friendly.

The location is OK, but not terrific. It is located at one end of the main pedestrian street, but the castle is located at the other end so expect a lot of walking.

All in all, would not stay here again.

Stayed here 2 nights for my first visit to Heidelberg. The hotel is in a relatively convenient location, about 5 minutes walk from Bismarckplatz (the start of the main shopping drag). The actual hotel location is a quiet side street - very nice.

But the hotel is very tired, and in need of a renovation, new beds, new rugs, etc. It is not dirty, but not especially clean. It is family owned, and it seems they lack the resources or interest to keep it in good shape. It could be turned into quite a nice place. The rooms are spacious, but filled with furniture that is ready to be thrown out.

The woman at the front desk was very cheery and helpful. The breakfast was ok - but nothing special at all - only cold items.

The free wifi worked only on the first floor, not in the rooms on the second floor.

The hotel seems to attract mostly a mix of student types, which makes sense. I would explore other options rather than go back here.
