We told the hotel we would be arriving late. When my elderly parents and I got to the hotel we were locked out and no one answered our calls. We had to stay in another hotel and when I spoke with them the next day the desk associate told me it was there fault but he was told to charge us a no show fee anyway. Stay away from the Classic Inn!

Avoid this hotel!!! Unwelcoming owner of the hotel. Breakfast disgusting (the food was not fresh). Room quite expensive (you can find nice hotels in the center for better prices). Bathroom really tiny and smelly.

Firs of all, when we came, it was late, but not to late. It was 23 o'clock and the reception was closed?
This is a hotel, or what? Reception do not work over night?
We were lucky that some people came in and help us to find our key. I would like to say thanks to them, because I was very angry that night, so I'm not sure that a properly thanks them.
We shell find the key also, but think about this: You were working whole day and you want just to came in and sleep, but you find out in 23 o'clock that hotel is not working as a hotel :(. Second shock was that there were no extra pillow in the room and I need that badly .... and the reception was not working ...
The next day I had a headache of course. The fix it next day, but it was to late :(. They have to think about it very seriously.
Another thing, they do not accept diners credit card, so we have to find a way to pay for the three nights. Yes we use ATM, but I do not understand way it says that they accept diners and when you came there ... no diners please :(.
Breakfast was solid, little bit poor, but it was OK. The main think that they have to consider is to put a coffee machine there, so everyone can drink that black thing as much as it like. I need to drink two coffees in the morning, yes they serve me of course, but I have to ask a lady, please could you give me another coffee, or tee .. or juice ... this is stupid, coffee is not expensive.
About INTERNET, I'm very disappointed not only from this hotel, but from whole Germany ... there is no free INTERNET in hotels. I'm from Macedonia ... country out of EU and with far less standard of the people and we have free INTERNET almost everywhere and here .... come on 4 Eur per hour? It is too much.
Towels was old and there was only liquid soap ... smells bad :(. Other thing was fine.

I chose this hotel because it was close to the railway station (which it is) and because it said it was within walking distance 900m of the Old City (not at all sure about that); it wasn't really within walking distance (take the no. 33 bus from just outside the station).
There is no airconditioning, no fridge (the mini-bar is extremely mini and certainly not refrigerated), no phone, and internet access was way too expensive. However, it was clean, breakfast was plentiful, but in my view of 3 star hotels (and I tend to use them mostly) it was a bit below average.
Don't forget to eat at one of the many charming restaurants in the Old City before returning to Classic Inn. Otherwise the railway station is always an option!
