When we first arrived at the Classic Inn we were a little taken aback by the reception area as it resembles a youth hostel much more than a hotel. The bedroom also came as a disappointment as it was very basic, with no tea or coffee making facilities. The reception area/lounge was again little more than a conservatory with some magazines on a table. Our bedroom on the ground floor had two windows, which looked out directly onto the main road and people walking past could see directly into our room. There were however some blinds that we could draw to prevent this.In its favour, the hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly. I would say that had the Classic Inn advertised itself as more of a bed and breakfast/ inn then we would have been perfectly satisfied. However, it is extremely basic and thus overpriced and next time we would choose anothe hotel.
