We picked this hotel for it's proximity to Bismarckplatz, the main shopping belt in Heidelberg. It was also easy getting to Heidelberg castle and Philosopher's Way on foot. Prices are a reasonable and includes breakfast with quality spread. Hotel is located in a quaint building with large spacious rooms. Room decor & furniture is dated but comfortable & clean nonetheless. Service is also warm & friendly.
We spied a small little garden at the back which looked would been an absolute delight to relax & have a beer in. Unfortunately we were there in winter (it was not open). There is no elevator, but we got a room on the first floor so this was not a huge problem.
Wifi is chargeable here, EUR5 for 24 hours, and this was perhaps the only drawback in my opinion. Most of the places we stayed in Germany provided this free of charge.
