Pleasant hotel - nothing exceptional, but very well situated. The town was disappointing compared to other German towns I had visited.

Luxurious hotel, friendly, helpfull, beautiful interior, great breakfest, 5 minutes walking from the historical center. What a town ,what a hotel !!
We stayed for three nights with our three children (age 5, 4 and 2) and booked a suite. We live in Frankfurt and arrived by train. The hotel is a short tram ride from the main train station and is on the edge of the main shopping area. The rooms were fantastic and beautifully laid out. We got access to the Club Room as part of our package and it was wonderful to be able to have coffees, drinks and snacks at any time of the day. The breakfasts were fantastic with everything you could wish for and more, from smoked salmon to pancakes to great coffee. The swimming pool was enjoyed by all and very clean with plenty of clean towels provided. Unfortunately one of our children was very sick and we ended up being on first name terms with the Housekeeping staff who couldn´t have been more helpful with clean bed linen etc. We ended up using the 24 hour movie on demand which allowed us all to have an enjoyable weekend and we have since bought Rio and Puss in Boots on DVD as they were so enjoyable. The location of the hotel allowed us to buy some toys in the local Woolworths and buy some essentials in the nearby shops. We also got to walk around the old part of the town and along the river. The staff from the moment we arrived until the moment we left were so friendly and helpful at all times. I hope we get the chance to come back.
Great rooms; good wireless access; spacious desk.. located in the heart of everything you wish to do in Heidelberg.
This hotel is awesome. Stayed for three days while driving throught Germany. The rooms are large, well maintained, the bedding is great, breakfast is plentiful and the location is ideal. Across the street is a bank that exchanges currency, a drugstore and a supermarket that sells some pretty good food. If you are there go in get some red Gooseberries. It is a ten minute walk to the castle. Going again this July 2012.
