It's a privately owned hotel that prides itself on service and being 5 star.

The service is very friendly and helpful and was the highlight of my stay.

Initially, I had a spacious newly refurbished room with nice wooden floor and a lovely bathroom. Unfortunately, the room was a corner room to the front of the hotel, and the traffic noise, rubbish collection in the morning etc. was so loud that it was very hard to sleep. In addition, the staff left one side window open which I only discovered when I drew all the blinds
and curtains in the morning. This was of course part of the problem and totally unexpected as the room was air-conditioned. The staff switched me to a new quieter room. This one was very old fashioned with a 70s bathroom in yellow and green.

Overall, I give this hotel good points for service, location and cleanliness. Not sure the owners will make the investment needed to refurbish this hotel to a real 5 star feel and experience.

We stayed here for our Anniversary. The common areas are lovely and well appointed. The restaurant was nice, and we enjoyed the piano accompaniment with our meal. The service is top notch and we enjoyed the food. The cost of Internet was high. Off the beaten path, walking in to town was an enjoyable outing. I enjoyed our time there, but did not think it was the top end of the five star hotels we have stayed in through out the world.

romms are reasonable. staff are friendly to a point, air conditioning dosent work.
