We had booked online and expected something a bit tired so close to the centre for the very reasonable rate. We were delighted with this very clean comfortable place. After a long hot day driving we were welcomed with a complimentary drink from the bar. Reception staff were all friendly and fluent in English. We hadn't booked parking but got a place in underground car park which was brilliant as on street parking is tricky and expensive. I advice you to book parking if you need it. The bathroom was so fresh and clean -after staying in mid-range French hotels this was a delight! Mostly single beds but good mattresses. No air con so we were a bit too warm at night. The breakfast was great -we didn't need any lunch after sampling the generous buffet. When we left we were given a bottle of water and offered fruit for our onward journey. Generous touches that made a real difference to our stay.

Convenient to the bahnhof, the university, and the shopping and restaurants in the Innenstadt, the Park Hotel Post's location is one of the best in Freiburg. For most people, location is not the only criteria for selecting a hotel. The hotel staff are extremely helpful answering any questions we had, and they spoke both fluent Deutsch and English. The breakfast has many excellent food options. The hotel also has bicycles that the patrons can use free of charge. All of these make the hotel a great value for the price.

This hotel was a very pleasant surprise. It is just a walk up the block from the train station and a few blocks onward is main part of the old town. The staff are very friendly. We were offered cold drinks on arrival and departure and there are plenty of snacks and nibbles available at the front desk so help yourself! The buffet breakfast is hearty with a wide variety of foods on offer. If you ilke to sleep with the window open I would recommend asking for a room on the backside of the hotel.

This is a fabulous hotel, a cobblestone throw away from the delightful old quarter of Freiburg, with its magnificent cathedral and plaza. When we arrived, my husband and I were given an upgraded room which had a little balcony and looked over the street and Colombie park. (Noise at night was minimal to think we were in the middle of a city!) Our teenage sons' twin room was smaller but fine. Do take advantage of the parking for an extra 9 Euros for peace of mind. The breakfast was plentiful with plenty of variety, and the reception and breakfast room staff did all they could to make us feel welcome and accommodate our needs. Room was thoroughly cleaned every morning. There is a supermarket over the road, a pharmacy next door, and the railway station about a block away. Fantastic place to stay, cannot recommend highly enough!
