I stayed in this hotel multiple times and every stay was very enjoyable.

Location: This hotel is on Platform 1 of Freiburg central railway station. The bus station and the main road is on the other side. Walkable distance to the city centre and cathedral

Rooms: The rooms were standard and clean. In summer, its hot inside the rooms but opening the windows may not help because of the noise outside. If you stay in the 5the or 6th floor its less noisy outside but my colleague could not sleep after 4:00 AM because of the noise of the traffic outside.

Staff: The staff were very polite and considerate.

Facility: There is no internet in the hotel but if your room faces the city side (opposite to the railway line) then you have fairly good reception of a free wifi hotspot (you need a German mobile to receive the code and you have to generate it every hour). The mini bar is adequately stocked. The breakfast was just great. I like the scrambled eggs and sausages. I guess there is a luggage room, but I never used it.

The hotel offers free city transport card for the duration of your stay. This is really good if you want to use the public transport system.

In short, great location and great stay. I recommend this hotel.

This is a chain hotel next to the train station. It only takes 5 minutes to walk to the dome and the old vity center. My room on the 4th floor was quiet, with a queen bed and a small desk in the corner of the room. The bathroom was clean and practical with a shower tub. Even though the railway was just outside the window, I did not hear the sound of it! The breakfast was nice with fresh bread, cereals, cold and hot food, juices etc. The "honey bar" was marvelous! The warm food I enjoyed the most was the local sauseges. The staff at the front desk were very helpful. The hotel as such is not cosy, but clean and practical. The bed was ok, not the best of matresses, but I prefer a very hard bed. The pillow was to swampy for my taste.

Just a one nighter in this chain hotel that literally sits on the platform of Freiburg’s Hauptbahnhof. It was more a choice of convenience as we had arrived mid-afternoon and were due to travel onwards the next morning by train and the town centre was literally a few minutes’ walk away.
A smallish, non-smoking room on the 5th floor had all we needed but not much in the way of extras. A firm bed with excellent linen, a good shower and German TV channels, plus a mini bar. Both rooms were excessively clean, it was quiet and we were very comfortable indeed.
No air con or free internet (5€/hour or 15€/day, both of which were extortionate and untested), no breakfast and no in room safe. Not much for our 90€ it has to be said but the price did include a travel card giving you free bus and tram travel for the length of your stay.

The hotel is right at the train station - I literally got off the train and right next to me was the hotel about 10 steps away. As a solo traveller it was perfect - private, not noisy (I stayed on the top floor), great views of the city and terrific to catch the trains or explore the city on foot. My only complaint is that you had to pay for wi-fi, but if you are smart, just go to the Starbucks in the train station and use it for free. Really wi-fi should be a free service in hotels in this day and age.
