“Nice rooms, friendly staff”

This is hotel is approx 10min alk from the centre. The rooms were great - clean, well furnished and spacious. There was a good breakfast with a wide choice. The was free internet access which unfortunately meant I did check on my work e-mails. The staff were great. I left my wallet in the room and they posted it home for me!

“Great Weekend Spot”

I chose Hotel Schweizer Hof bacause their rates seemed better than the their competitions. I'm glad I did. This is a friendly hotel a few minutes walk north of the pedestrian streets. The room was clean and spacious with a modern bathroom and comfortable beds. Staff was very friendly and spoke English. Breakfast was normal European with a nice selection of deli meats, cheeses, fruit, and cereals. There were boiled eggs, but not any scrambled eggs or sausage. Everything else was good so I did not even miss it. We will stay here again the next time we go to Baden-Baden.

“Great Time”

I came here for a one night stay on a school trip. This night was supposed to be a break from all the hustle bustle of Paris, and the Strausbourg. We were all really excited to go to the baths and then shopping. This hotel was great. My friend and I had a beautiful room right on the first floor, the breakfast was great and the staff were great about such a big group (there were 30 of us) overall it was a really enjoyable stay and i would definetly come back

“Very accomodating and pleasant staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 November 2007

I enjoyed my one night stay. There was a train strike on, and we were concerned about transportation. The staff was very helpful about checking the schedules (as it turns out, trains from Germany to Strasbourg, France were running on the hour, so we need not have worried). There is a nook on the ground floor with a computer and printer for the use of hotel guests, free of charge. The room was basic but clean and pleasant. A Plus (grocery store) is just across the street. For me, as an American tourist coming from France, the breakfast seemed excellent-- meats, cheeses, soft boiled eggs, cereals, yogurt, fruit, breads, etc. One thing I loved about Baden Baden was that brochures and instructions were typically published in German, French and English, as was the information about the hotel found in the room. The staff is reasonably proficient in English. This hotel is located immediately adjacent to the Festpielhaus. There could not be a more convenient hotel if your object in coming to Baden Baden is to attend a performance there.

“In the wings of the opera”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 October 2007

Had a couple of nights here in September and found it charming.

Good comfy bed and spacious room (tho nothing like as fancy as the hotel's thumbnails on this site). Welcoming receptionist and free internet access and printer. Good enough breakfast, everything spotlessly clean.

Best thing is its nearness to the opera house (reason for being there) ~ so close that we could nip home for a comfort stop between acts (well, it was Wagner...)

I will definitely return.
