This is a lovely hotel very close to everything (casino, park, Museum Frieda Burda, shopping, restuarants, etc...). Our room was very spacious, as was the bathroom with excellent water pressure and deep bathtub.
Breakfasts are fantastic. A huge buffet of cheeses, fruits, eggs, sausages, waters, coffees, teas, breads, jams, and the rest.
Service is quite good. Our air conditioning unit was portable and worked beautifully. We enjoyed our room but it could have been spiffed up a bit (a painting above bed would have worked wonders against that empty wall space considering the high ceilings). Lots of closet and drawer space.
The front desk staff was very accomodating, as were housekeeping and room service.
Hint...if you don´t want to be disturbed by someone cleaning your room before 9 am, make absolutely certain to put out the ´´do not disturb´´ sign.
We loved the bartender, ´´Herr Docktor Franck´´, as I called him. He was lovely and had an excellent sense of international humor for his international guests. Security and management are present at all times for the guests.
The hotel is largely comprised of older (70+ age) Germans taking the waters, or Japanese, Indian or Arab tourists for the casino, spa and shopping.
Massage and Reiki were fantastic, as were the spa facilities.
I would, however, likely not stay at this hotel again, as I am in my 30´s and was somewhat out of place considering the age of the crowd and the massive size of the hotel. Personally, I prefer a smaller yet still swank hotel.
No matter where you are in the center of Baden-Baden, the public mineral baths are not far and there are plenty of places for massage-reiki-facials-salons, etc.
