I recommend Val d'Isere and the Pierre&Vacances Residence for a perfect skiing holiday.
Beautiful appartments - just renovated, modern, perfectly equipped, nice and helpful staff and perfect location.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The communal areas were well presented and our apartment was perfect. The recent revamp was well thought out and although the apartment was a 1 bedroom 4 person apt and there were 3 adults and 1 child we didn't feel on top of each other. Our shower was faulty when we arrived, we reported it and it was fixed within 20 minutes!!! My only gripe is that although having a really large fridge is handy I would have preferred to have had a slightly smaller fridge and an oven rather than just a hob and microwave but we managed perfectly well.

Really nice, comfortable apartments. The 'spare' beds were surprisingly comfortable too!
Location was ideal in that the lifts were a short 2 minute walk straight opposite the apartments and if you did want to start your day in the centre of Val, then the shuttle bus ran every 2 minutes and was super efficient. The shuttle also meant that enjoying the apres ski was not a problem since getting into town and back was so easy with the shuttle running up to 2am!
Another lovely aspect about the apartments was the all day sun on the balcony which was lovely to sit on at the end of the day if not making the most of apres in town. Also great location for a quiet night's sleep.
Overall - definitely recommend this

Stayed for 4 days early December 2009. Apartments are very good. Clean, smart and comfortable. Right at base of La Daille - easy access to piste and navette bus into Val d'Isere.
