There are some definate plus points to this hotel - friendly staff, very convenient to the slopes and pleasant rooms. The problem, however, which to be fair is not exactly the hotels fault is the noise outside. Even with the windows closed you could hear a constant noise of shouting, singing etc. up until 4am from the neighbouring nighclubs (no music noise though!). I've experienced this in ski resorts before but never as bad as this. In short, if returning I would want a room at the back of the hotel without the view but perhaps a little quieter!

Decided to book here after reading other reviews on Trip Advisor, and we weren't disappointed. The hotel was right next to the slopes, and many restaurants and bars. We were well looked after by the hotel staff, they were friendly and helpful. This hotel offers B&B only, but includes two evening meals on Tues and Thurs. Good choice of food at breakfast, and both the evening meals were good (Traditional Savoyarde cuisine - Raclette & Pierrade) and the atmosphere was a mix between a restaurant and a chalet. All very relaxed and informal. There was some noise at night from the apres skiers on the streets outside, but nothing too bad, considering the hotel is right in the centre of Val D'Isere. The room was small and simple, but adequate for our needs. Just like all chalet/ski hotels, they needed thicker pillows - probably my only gripe! Our return transfer to the airport was very early, and as we we're leaving before breakfast they prepared sandwiches for us - a nice touch. Another nice touch was the heating in the boot room. Great to put on toasty warm ski boots before hitting the slopes! Overall we had a great skiing holiday, and would definately consider staying here again.

Staying here is definitely recommended if you are looking for a good value-for-money, simple, clean, extremely well located, super friendly place in what is generally an expensive ski resort. My 2nd stay at this hotel was as delightful as the first. Niki Pitts and her team made sure of it with their particularly friendly and helpful manner - from reservation to paying the bill. Had to leave early in the morning before breakfast had started; still received coffee and prepared sandwiches. Breakfast buffet is expansive and plenty. Location couldn't be more central to slopes, shops, restaurants & bars and municipal car park. Good value for money with rustique rooms enjoying beautiful view onto slopes of Face and Solaise.

Back once more with eight friends. Nikki, Magali and Alex are all so welcoming (and Engleesh speaking)!

Now next door to 2 nightclubs but no noise at all.

For 2010 the price includes a raclette on Tuesdays and a pierrade on Thursdays which is great help in this outrageously expensive resort.

On the other side is the excellent Le Lodge restaurant and La petit Danois bar (and restaurant) around the corner.

Some of my friends are going back in February half-term with their families so they must be impressed as well!
