“Should be classed as a hostel it's that poor”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012 via mobile

I will never stay hear again. we booked this hotel as it catered for a party of 5 and no other hotel did. We was expecting a large studio room for 5 people instead we was given the smallest hotel room I have ever seen , 2 people staying would have been a squeeze. Upon arrival after a grueling 11 hour journey we waited half hour to get to the reception desk only to be told our room was not ready for another 45mins. The rooms do not come with towels we had to rent these at 3.50 euros much to our disgust. The beds are solid foam mine had a huge lump in it which kept me awake all night. The pillows we were given were thin and missing half there fillings. We were given green blankets to sleep under not the nicest feeling. The heater in the tiny room was broken so we were sleeping with layers on. We discovered the coffee makers glass pot was broken on the second day in but have been too scared to report this due to the 250euro deposit on the room we were made to pay. Yesterday I tried to Hoover but the head fell off the end of the Hoover yet another thing they will prob try to pin on us.The shower head sprays water out of the side of it and you can't even hang it up you have to hold it. The three beds in the lounge were on top of each other and not fit for a human to sleep on.The reception staff are pleasant enough but does not make up for the hotel quality. Self catering has worked out as a false economy after all the extras and exspenses we paid out would have been worth paying for all dinner and breakfast somewhere nice.Personally I think a big company like crystal ski should not have there name attached to this hotel faulty towers would have made for a better week.....

“Not bad at all”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 July 2011

Me and a large group of friends went to this hotel not expecting much, but we had a great time. rooms were clean on arrival, the kitchens had utensils for cooking when needed, we were loud and no-one seemed to mind. short walk to the bottom of the lifts say 5 mins. Also a quite convenient bar located on the corner outside. Not far to all the nightspots (Dick tea bars and V spot etc) Over all great time had there.

Room Tip: Don't let the girls have the big room

“Pretty average hotel for sleeping in”

I hadn't read any reviews before I went to this hotel, so didn't really have any expectations, other than it was probably cheap and cheerful.

Hotel is behind another hotel, so took us a minute to find it in the dark! Staff were fairly helpful when checking in and directed us pretty well.

Room is small, but semi-well equipped. Hob, sink, microwave, dishwasher, metal pots/pans/cutlery, glasses, colander and TINY(!) cups. Got a kettle by simply asking at reception. You only get 1 roll of toilet toll, so remember to pack a few rolls as they're quite expensive in the shop (4€ for 6).

Wouldn't recommend thinking you can do anything other than eat and sleep in the rooms, but because there just isn't enough room.

“Stay here if you have a sick sense of humour”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 July 2010

We stayed here as a group of students on a skiing holiday, and I have to say this is one of the worst hotels I've ever had the displeasure of staying at on virtually all counts.

The rooms are small, with 4 beds crammed into each one. There's no personal space, no place to unpack your clothes. I lived out of my suitcase sleeping two feet from the dining table for a week.

The walls are paper thin, you can hear people very easily in the corridors and nearby rooms.

The amenities are virtually non-existent. You get sheets from the front desk if you are lucky enough to arrive when they bother to have the reception open, the towels cost 4 Euros, the laundry system is 9 Euros a time, there are no garbage bags. In fact, you have to take out your own trash, and they will fine the entire floor if anyone leaves their bags near elevators.

There is no cleaning service, and you are expected to clean up the room when you leave, on pain of losing your deposit. This explains why the cleanliness of the rooms is so unacceptable. If you didn't arrive in that magic window when they bother to man the front desk, you will enjoy sleeping on unidentified stains on mattresses.

The staff are rude, unfriendly, and unhelpful. They have numerous draconian rules that could leave you with a 55 Euro fine if you walk in the wrong place with ski boots, or end up out on the street in the middle of the night.

There is no internet access, free or otherwise.

And then to cap it all off, this place isn't that cheap either.

Seriously, you'd have to be a masochist to want to stay here.

“Absurd rates and top snow...”

We had an unbelievable trip with great conditions, our only slight concern about the residence being the wobbly chairs and telephone wouldn't stop ringing at night but we never found out why.
