I'm sure my I can't claim originality for my review title but it seems so apt. We stayed 2 nights in this lovely lakeside Logis. On a touring holiday, and wishing to avoid town life in Annecy itself, we simply drove up the edge of the lake until we came across Talloires. It's a charming lakeside village where pedestrians enjoy priority. We looked at most of the hotels and decided to go with this one. The reception area and the young lady receptionist were both very welcoming. A room was available with a lake view and a balcony at a very reasonable rate. It was very comfortable and spacious. Dinners were an experience to savour with a wide choice of tempting starters, meat fish and other mains sure to suit all palates. Service blended helpful professionalism with the human touch and the Savoie wines were a welcome complement. A pleasant day in the lovely town of Annecy with its canals and architecture was only a short drive away (also achievable by lake ferry) and the hotel was a great environment at its end.
