We stayed twice at this hotel during the same month. The location and reasonable pricing are the best features. The hotel is close to the pedestrian bridge to Old Lyon and only a few blocks from the pedestrian shopping area in the center of town. The English-speaking staff is friendly and helpful. The free wifi is much appreciated. We stayed in a superior room which was quite small even though we are accustomed to European hotels. Access to the room was by elevator and then up a 4 steps so individuals who can't lift their luggage would have a problem. There was a lot of early morning street noise--starting at 6:00 am with the garbage collection and street cleaning. With the windows open for cool air there wasn't much privacy. On our second visit we stayed in a studio suite which we accessed through a dark and dirty hallway outside the main hotel. Once in the studio the room was large and clean but still lacked privacy from the buildings across the street. The bathroom was nice. I would not hesitate to stay again because of the location and reasonable rate but I would not go out of my way to stay here.

The hotel is ideally located in the historic center of Lyon, making tours to the historic sites and restaurants very convenient.
Personal staff is indeed very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is ok.
A negative point goes to the room size that are quite small, even though we booked a superior room. The bathroom is totally out of date and very unconvenient, with no stowage for personal items and no shower curtain.

Central location near Old Lyon, friendly reception too who can speak English/free wi-fi

My wife and I had a double room that was small with limited storage for the clothes of two people. The bathroom was somewhat cramped as well. The layout of the room was somewhat inconvenient. My wife seriously stubbed her toe tripping over a chair, for example. Overall the hotel rooms seemed to need renovation, including new carpets. The hallways and public areas were fine, though. On the bright side, the desk staff were cheerful and helpful. The breakfast buffet area was pleasant, and the buffet itself was certainly adequate, though not exceptional. However, drinks including water, sodas, wine and beer were available at reasonable prices any time of the day or night.
