Great location, cozy place, few minutes from all the major sites...walking distance from old town and from restaurants and bars.
Nice rooms neat and tidy

I've lived in Lyon all my life and have moved to another city now, I use this hotel when I come back to "my" city as it is the best location one could dream of. Place Bellecour and Place des Terreaux are at 5 minutes walk, the old town (St Jean) is just accross the river (the bridge is 50 meters from the hotel, you cannot miss it). 2 minutes from the hotel there is the Rue Merciere which is famous in Lyon for all the restaurants and pubs. The hotel being situated in a narrow street, it is quiet at night and still from there you can walk to almost every place of interest.

The hotel itself is fine. Rooms are quite small but well arranged and as far as I'm concerned I found everything I needed there. Only negative point would be that there is no view (the hotel being situated in a very narrow street you have a view on the building just in front...). If you can afford the extra euros go for the Comfort room, a bit larger, nice bathroom (and with complimentary tea set). The standard rooms are basic.
The reception is open 24h/24, staff is nice and helpful and provides you with a map of the city if needed. Have not tried the breakfast as there is a bakery just next to the hotel

I have just come back from Lyon and I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. Great location, excellent breakfast, very good rates. Hope to be back soon.

Central location across from Soane river, friendly staff, good beds, but re-model in progess created a less-than-good experience. In our bath, the shower head was directed with great force through the door-less and curtainless shower opening right into the bedroom. Pretty soggy surprise. Tiny temporary lobby usually had electrician & ladders in it, the whitewash/paint came off onto clothing at the slightest touch with a wall. Didn't use small temporary basement breakfast area. Suggest you wait until 2010 to try this one.
