You either love it or hate it. The rooms are very minimalistic, all in white, industrial chairs, lamps etc. The lounge and breakfast room are very beautiful and special. The breakfast was ok, nothing to remember. The staff was very kind, spoke good English and had very good tips about Lyon. The area around the hotel is full of bars and it is extremely noisy in the night time, so remember a pair of earplugs.
The hotel is very well located, I loved almost everything about it and about Lyon in general.
Wi fi didn't work in the room, only down in the lobby.
Most rooms equipped with a bath tub. And with a lovely balcony.
The hotel was very clean.
I would definitely recommend it, but once again: don't forget the earplugs.

The place is alright though, i would say the price is a little expensive and the rooms are tight
Beds are comfortable

We stayed here in April 2011. We arrived only intending on staying one night but loved it so much we stayed for a second. The hotel is in a great location and the room was intentionally minimalist but was still really comfortable. The Hotel has a great ground floor which looks like an old school with battered leather chairs and old school desks.
However I feel I should share our experience... on packing up my belongings I couldn't find my jewellery which was in a small soft jewellery bag. I spoke with reception and was told that it could have been thrown away! I left my details and asked if I could be contacted for an update. I wasn't called. So two days later I called and was asked if I there was any progress. I was told that they would call back. I later asked a French speaking friend to call to ensure that my concern was understood and again was told I would be called back. I am still waiting for that call and any explanation! I wanted to avoid calling the police but now feel I have no other option. This whole episode is such a shame and I was so disappointed after we enjoyed our stay in Lyon so much but this (and the cost of breakfast!) left a bad feeling.

Room a tiny double when twin had been requested. Room too small to separate beds convincingly but on second day we were moved to larger room with bath and access to terrace. Staff unfailingly helpful and friendly. You either love or hate the spartan school vibe (I think it works well) but if you are a light sleeper earplugs are essential. Great location on the edge of old town and near vast choice of restaurants; direct bus link into centre. Plentiful breakfast with good fresh produce.
