My company is based just outside Lyon so normally I stay near there in the desert between St Priest and Bron. I generally stay in an Ibis (though have flirted with the Kyriad (horrid) and some real cheap place which for the money was not bad) which because it is near some exhibition centre feels it is fine to rip people off to the tune of €108 per night.
Today I had to go to Geneva so was picked up from the centre of Lyon, my boss having suggested four hotels near his house I chose this one based on the reviews. My goodness, the same price €108 (didn't have breakfast €14 a bit steep) but what a difference. Nice entrance lobby, lovely bar with log fire and a superb room, nicely decorated, nice size.
I cannot believe this is the same price as the Ibis and I am seriously considering switching my allegiance for comfort (and great location, good little Italian about 20m to the right as you come out of the hotel) for a bit of travel inconvenience.
The lady on reception when I arrived was lovely, very helpful.
Really good, highly recommend this place.
